My example is at a local 3:00 pub. They have a rather small and very poorly designed parking lot, but a section on the curb under some telephone poles deep enough for SUVs just pop in and out as they see fit. I sometimes wish I drove a smart car so I could go even further and park perpendicular to the curb. I can zip into a space where some jackass is halfway over the line and no one else can park there, and I still have room to open my door plenty wide. I can park in the spaces that aren't really spaces, they're just leftover room before you get to the curb because someone didn't do their division correctly. It's fun to watch people's faces when they see me slide into these kind of spaces.
