Well, I finally broke down and went to the hospital last night. My leg is broken in 3 places, and I’ll need to have surgery next week. What fun!

A lot of players from my team have sent me well wishes, and expressed their sadness that I’m out for the rest of the season. I told them that I’ll probably be going stir crazy soon and I’ll show up (with beer for them) to cheer them on and make them laugh. I’ll just get the golf cart beer vendor guy to pick me up in the parking lot and drive me to the field!

Good call on Simon and Garfunkel. And I had completely forgotten about an Alison Kraus duet that was on a JCPenny commercial a few years ago. Great song.
