It has been a rough summer for Colorado, between devastating fires and the tragic actions of one man last Friday. But like any community, we come together in support and love.

A great article featured in the Denver Post- http://blogs.denverpost.com/opinion/2012/07/20/face-hate-displayed-aurora-theater-shootings-love/

Emma--That's a great point. I wasn't aware that was happening so soon after the shooting. These things seem to invoke outrage so quickly. I certainly think there's a place for outrage, but right after a tragedy like this, sadness seems like the most appropriate emotion.

Seems like eons from when I lasted posted.

My new friend, Courtney, and I will disagree on Batman. But yes, better than Inception. With all due respect, several movies are better than Inception. Inc...was convoluted. I almost walked out.

Ok, enough of that. I trust that God will do what is needed. But by sending out positive vibes like you did with the article, you are certainly helping.

Remembering also those that helped and sacrificed their lives is also important. Two Navy men lost their lives one by saving his girlfriend.

Speaking of rejoicing, the Broncos' visit with the survivors is a testament to that notion. Those of us here will remember that literally every second counts.

Thanks for linking to Jason Alexander, I had not seen that yet and he articulated conversation points I had not just considered.

I cried on Friday too, partially for the tragedy, mostly for how disparaging the internet can make people be (particularly upset by how people chose to vilify any parent that had brought a kid to that movie - it's another discussion for another time, can we please not attack parents who just lost or almost lost a child on the day that it happened?).

Amazing about Petra.
