I’m in Austin, Texas for the weekend, and this was the first food I ate here. Apparently ramen might be the next hot food trend, and I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had fresh ramen since my time in Japan 11 years ago, so it was like taking a bite out of my past. A delicious bite full of pork belly and broth.
I’ve always found that dishes that may not look very pretty are usually quite tasty. I’m hoping that’s the case with this one. Because all I can think is:
“Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
Guess I’ll go eat worms.
Long, thin, slimy ones, short, fat, juicy ones,
itsy, bitsy, fuzzy wuzzy worms.”
🙂
Oh, those aren’t worms! 🙂 Those are veggies–mushrooms, I think. SO good.
Ahhh, I miss Asia.
This looks like every single meal I ate in Hong Kong. Yum.
I somehow missed this post. Then I saw a picture of it. Now I want ramen…It looks amazing!
