Independence Day in My Pants

jeansLast July I posted a video and blog entry about Trunk Club, a service that sends men items of clothing selected specifically for them by a stylist. You get a “trunk” of clothing in the mail for free, you pay for what you keep, and you send the rest back.

I checked the video the other day, and for some reason it has accumulated over 5,000 views on YouTube. It’s basically just me talking about the clothes I received…this is not high entertainment we’re talking about.

However, there is a key part of the video where I talk about a pair of jeans that was by far the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever worn. I’ve searched my whole life for a truly comfortable pair of jeans, and I finally found them…but I didn’t buy them. They were simply too expensive.

Well, thanks to some encouraging readers of the blog who were surprised to hear a few months ago that I still thought about those jeans, I decided that if my Euphoria Kickstarter campaign went really well, I would reward myself with a truly comfortable pair of jeans. One reader actually reached out to the original stylist from the blog post last summer to ask if the jeans were still available. Alas, they were not, but an alternative pair was.

So I now own the most comfortable pair of jeans in the world.

This isn’t even hyperbole. It’s true. These jeans are so comfortable that I can’t even feel I’m wearing them. It’s like I’m walking around without pants, which is exactly how I want my pants to feel. The waistband doesn’t dig into my belly when I’m sitting or standing, the jean material is light but sturdy, and they’re perfectly flexible for everyday activities like lunges and deep knee bends.

They’re perfect.

Have you ever obtained a piece of clothing that vastly exceeded your expectations and fulfilled your every desire? Tell me about it.

  1. Things missing from this post: Picture of actual new jeans, while being worn. 🙂

Happy to hear that you’ve managed to find “the one,” though.

  2. Congratulations on your pants.
(…words I never thought I’d have any reason to type. Pure nonsense in any other context.)
