My 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2015

the_avengers__age_of_ultron___ew_cover_art_by_ratohnhaketon645-d7rbptp2015 has been a weird year for movies so far. I haven’t seen a single movie in the theater since Christmas. In fact, I’ve only watched a single new film: The Grande Budapest Hotel (which was fantastic).

So it’s time for me to look ahead to the remaining 10 months to get excited about something. I’ll list these in chronological order of release date.

May 1: The Avengers: Age of Ultron

May 15: Pitch Perfect 2

May 22: Tomorrowland

June 5: Entourage

June 12: Jurassic World

July 17: Ant-Man

July 31: Mission: Impossible V

August 7: The Fantastic Four

November 25: The Martian

December 18: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Most of these are big-screen blockbuster type films. I really hope there are some lesser-known films that surprise me–hopefully at least one comedy and one drama. I typically rely on reviewers for those borderline movies. I also hope that Chappie and Mad Max are awesome–they look really weird, but they could be great.

Which 2015 releases are you the most excited about?

  1. The Grande Budapest Hotel is a good movie. Oh, Avengers… OH, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE! I might go watch Minions and Get Hard. I haven’t seen Perfect Pitch and I need to read The Martian before the movie.

  2. There are so many, Jamey! LOL Just the nominated films alone would fill your calendar. You ought to catch Selma at the very least. Yes, I realize that you don’t watch the awards’ shows but well, the films themselves are worth checking. #cheersfromhollyhood
We may actually get a sprinkle during the Oscars.

    • I hope Sisters is good. I feel like so many comedies in the last year have fallen flat. Though I laughed a number of times watching The Grand Budapest Hotel.
