Have You Been to a Cat Cafe?

IMG_5015I recently learned that St. Louis is getting its very first cat cafe, the astutely named Mauhaus. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, a cat cafe is a cafe that serves drinks and sometimes food…and there are cats everywhere. The cafe provides the cats.

I’m very curious about Mauhaus, and I’ll definitely check it out. However, it seems like cat cafes are particularly great for people who don’t have cats. For my fellow cat owners, we don’t have to go to a cafe to get our daily dose of feline. (As if to emphasize this point, right now Biddy is staring at me and making barking noises.)

So have you been to a cat cafe? How was your experience? Do you own cats? Do cats own you?

  1. I’ve seen a number of cat Cafes around the world while travelling. So far I haven’t seen one that was not busy. A combination of intense cat lovers, curious lookers and young couples.
It’s interesting that cats have that pull/power over humans.

Slightly off topic – finally got my copy of Viticulture Essential Edition to the table last night. We all loved it!
