- This screenshot/print screen software. It’s called ZScreen, and the feature I’m most excited about is that I can now click control-print screen and I can choose exactly what I want to copy on my computer screen.
- This guy’s online cover letter. It’s brilliant and friendly and you walk away simultaneously feeling like you know the guy and want to hire him. I want to emulate this in the standard hard-copy format.
- This guy’s short story, “The Variant.” Not only is it a great story, but the author sells it directly to you for 99 cents (not 1 dollar!) in a variety of formats. In subsequent entries, he discusses his experience (down to the profits) in great detail.
- Google Wave. Wow. It’s not out yet, but I firmly believe that this is where e-mail communication is headed. It’s kind of a mashup of Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Calendar, but with a collaborative edge that I haven’t seen before, even from great companies like 37signals.
- This video (below). It’s been a while since I watched Man vs. Wild, but I am so excited to see Bear lug Will Ferrell through the artic tomorrow.
6 things. Nancy got a job!
Helllll yeah! That’s number one!
I didn’t know “Stilettos” was hiring Nancy! Congratulations! Just playing, seriously, congrats. Where’s the job at?
I didn’t know Stilettos was hiring!! That would have changed everything! Oh well. I got offered a pharmacist position at an independent pharmacy in Charlotte. Haven’t accepted yet, but it’s a job offer that gets me to Charlotte!
