My 4 Favorite YouTube Videos This Month

In no particular order:

BB-8 droid from The Force Awakens rolls out on stage at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim: I’m proud of myself for not watching a single second of the new Star Wars trailer that was released a few days ago. I did, however, watch this video showing that one of the droids in the movie is a practical effect, not CGI. It’s awesome (there’s nothing even close to a spoiler in this video):

Backstage Magic Trick with Dan White”>Backstage Magic Trick with Dan White: I’m sure a person could get lost for hours watching magic tricks on YouTube. I’ve avoided that so far, but I caught this clip from the Tonight Show, and it’s mind-blowing. White walks through the trick step by step, addressing every suspicion you have…yet he still pulls it off, over and over again. I think it might be real magic.

Seth Brings Jon Snow to a Dinner Party: If you like Game of Thrones and/or you enjoy mirth, you’ll enjoy this. Jon Snow shows up at a modern-day dinner party, and…well, just watch it.

How to Cross When a Car Stops for You: I can completely relate to the idea of becoming really self-conscious when a car stops to let you cross the road. You have this mission to prove to them that they made the right choice. I love how this video expands upon this idea.

  1. I haven’t watched the magic one yet, but now I want to. Jon Snow at dinner was better than I thought it would be. The first joke fell flat with me and I worried that it would all be cheap gags like that, but there were some actually funny spots in it. I don’t spend a lot of time on YouTube, but when I do, I’m generally watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver clips.
