Earlier this week I tried out a new restaurant here in St. Louis called the Hi-Pointe Drive-In. It’s a bustling venue with a variety of interesting burgers and milkshakes.
I wouldn’t normally get a milkshake for lunch, but I decided to splurge a little and go for a chocolate shake. To my delight, it had one of my favorite things in it: a big straw.
Have you ever had a milkshake or smoothie with a normal straw? It turns a delightful beverage into hard work.
Not with big straws, though. Big straws provide the perfect conduit for thick-liquid consumption.
It was thanks to the big straw here that I drank a delicious milkshake on Monday. I wish the same for you the next time you treat yourself to a shake.
Sounds like I’m going to need to branch out on restaurants I visit when I’m there in April. Is it related to the theater?
It’s right behind the theater where the old Del Taco was. I don’t think the two organizations are related, though.
+1 on big straws – Everytime I’m given one I think I should always carry one for those emergency milk shake days
I keep a spare in my kitchen, but I like the idea of keeping one for out of the house too!
