Put a Taco on It

Some people want bacon on everything. Others want coffee or an egg.

Me? I’ve discovered that I want a taco salad on all foods.

It started a few months ago when I heard that a new burger place, Hi-Pointe Drive-Thru, had a taco burger on their menu. It awoke something deep inside of me that I didn’t know was there, and I had to have it. I did. I ate it.

Then, about a month ago, I was at the Gramophone when I noticed they had a taco sub sandwich on their menu. Instantly the rest of the menu vanished, and it was just me and that sandwich, alone in this vast world. Then I ate it.

Soon after I realized that I wanted more, and I remembered that I had once eaten a taco pizza at Dewey’s called the Tito Santana. It’s a seasonal pizza, so I talked to my sources, and I learned that it was coming back today. Obviously I ate it for lunch a few hours ago.

Do you have a food like this, something you get excited about when you see it integrated into some other food that doesn’t normally include it? Also, what else can taco salad be cooked into? I must have it.
