I know, I know, we’re a few days removed from April 1 now. But I realized I had a favorite prank to share (hopefully you enjoyed mine!), and I wanted to see if you had a favorite as well, whether it was a personal experience or a public one.
There’s a game I enjoy called New York Slice where you create a pizza using cardboard tiles. Players take turns dividing the pizza into different sections while other player select a section. The slices you have give you points at the end of the game.
The company that makes this game created a really funny April Fool’s video about a fake version of this game that uses real pizza. I genuinely laughed out loud several times while watching this:
What was your favorite April Fool’s prank this year?
Probably either the Forensic Gameology review of Darts – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ngzwQ9vHE8 – or Ceave Gaming’s video on how to recreate items from Super Mario Maker in Super Mario Maker (without using the item itself) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY60nxIC-Hk .
(Games Workshop had a similar announcement to New York Slice Legacy, but managed to forget to set the video public until April 3rd – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddw2qxk2FM4 )
I’m kind of done with April Fool’s. Maybe it is because so many people and sites do it (and many not very well), but it feels played out. That said, I did get a chuckle out of Think Geek’s facehugger snorkel mask. https://www.thinkgeek.com/product/krvs/
