A few days ago, I ran out of chocolate.
I legitimately underestimated the magnitude of this issue. I don’t think I’ve realized how much of a regular part of my daily routine chocolate has become.
Around 11:00, I got a little craving, as I usually have a small piece or two of chocolate around then. I was able to ignore it and make it to lunch.
But at 3:00, I got an intense craving, one that nearly made me drive the grocery store even though the only thing on my grocery list was “CHOCOLATE.”
Fortunately, I remembered that I had some chocolate chip Clif bars in my car, so I ate one of them.
The craving hit me again after dinner (dessert time), and this time I was in luck: Some friends came over to play games, and one of them brought chocolate pecan turtles. I ate three.
The next day, I figured I had two choices:
- I could avoid chocolate and try to teach my body that I don’t need it 3 times a day.
- I could go buy chocolate and eat it.
I chose the latter. See photo–these are amazing.
How many times a day do you chocolate?
I love the regular almond sea salt in that brand and leave it on my bedside table. I just break a couple of squares of when needed. 😉
I am making a special trip to the store to get coke. I am addicted. It is not healthy. But I love Coke! I am working on it with flavored waters, homemade lemonade etc. and artesian well water straight from the source, and drinking more of that, but its not coke. So I feel you. I can last about 24 hours? 36?
