It’s been an interesting year for music for me, as I very rarely listen to music at home or in the car. However, I’ve taken several road trips with Megan through Virginia, back and forth to Kansas, and through New Zealand, so I’ve bought a number of songs that we both enjoy listening (and singing to) in the car.
In fact, almost all of these songs are linked to Megan in some way. She introduced me to Billie Eilish, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, The Chainsmokers, Firefly, and a few of the other pop songs on this list.
My song of the year goes to “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers (yes, it’s from 2017, but I didn’t hear it until this year).
Otherwise, in no particular order, here’s a playlist of my favorite songs I heard for the first time in 2019:
What are a few of your favorite songs from 2019?
Jamey,
You just heard the theme song from Firefly…Shame…Shame 🙂
Neil Patrick Harris sings? Is this Doogie Houser or a band that named themselves after him?
He does! He’s multi-talented.
I’ll play:
Bon Iver– Hey Ma
Mavis Staples– Something’s Got to Give
The National– Rylan
Bruce Springsteen– Stones
Robbie Robertson– Walk in Beauty Way
Thanks for those recommendations, Aaron!
