Even as I write this, it occurs to me that it’s a little odd for family members to record each other when they’re coming out of surgery. It’s such a vulnerable time! But I’m going to assume that consent to post the videos on social media is provided.
That being said, I was delighted by this recent video of a young woman on anesthesia talking about how much she loves Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers. She genuinely seems to have expected Rogers (a complete stranger) to be there for her when she woke up post-surgery.
My favorite part is how lucid she is about certain things despite her anesthesia-driven overreactions. At one point she mentions Packers running back Aaron Jones, and she goes on to explain that she’s relieved how the Packers’ running game takes pressure off Rogers.
A heartwarming end to the story is that Rogers and his girlfriend (Danica Patrick) learned about the video and sent the woman 400 popsicles (she mentions that specific number in the video).
In terms of sheer hilarity, I like this zombie-themed wisdom-tooth video the most, but that one was planned. The video I’m talking about today is simply someone talking to the camera for 2 minutes about Aaron Rogers.
