Do You Use a Hand Warmer?

Perhaps the best $37 I spent this year was on an electric hand warmer.

I had never heard of these devices until last month when a friend mentioned that she had bought one. As Megan can attest to, my hands are always cold, so I was instantly intrigued by the prospect of a device that would solve an ongoing problem.

So I purchased an OCOOPA quick-charge hand warmer, and a few days later, this pocked-sized device arrived in the mail:

I charged it up, turned it on by holding down the only button…and within seconds the rubbery orange areas were emitting warmth. There are 3 settings, and I soon found that the weakest setting was best for me, as the other two can get fairly hot.

I now carry this device with me whenever I’m ready to each lunch or dinner. It’s a soothing way to end the meal, and I think it makes both of us happier (Megan doesn’t have to deal with my ice-cold hands on her hands anymore!)

Do your hands run cold? Have you tried one of these devices? If not, I’d highly recommend them!

  1. Jamey,

Besides many of your games, this may be the best thing you’ve ever “sold” me. My hands are always cold…which is great when I’m running, as I can just hold my hand to my forehead to cool down, but most of the time it’s just annoying. Thanks for the great idea!

    Cheers,
    Joe
