Every morning at 7:00 am, my cat, Walter, wakes up Megan and me. It’s my cue to get out of bed and start the day.
On Sunday, however, Walter was an hour early. He was stomping around the bedroom, rubbing on cardboard boxes, playing with the drapes, talking to anyone who would listen. We finally coaxed him to calm down and go back to sleep, but we didn’t know what prompted the change in schedule.
That is, until I properly woke up and remembered the clocks had turned back an hour (and no one had informed Walter, of course).
This isn’t my funny story, though. The funniest daylight saving story I heard this year came from a friend, Alex, who started a shower at 10:15 (according to one clock) and didn’t get out of the shower until 11:45 (according to another clock). It’s funnier to hear her tell it, but she was just completely baffled. She knew she had taken a longer shower than normal, but was she really in there for 90 minutes? Did she lose track of time? How did this happen?!
Do you have any amusing daylight saving stories?
