What’s Your Favorite Part of an Ice Cream Cone?

I know, it’s the middle of winter in the US, and ice cream probably isn’t on your mind. But I tried something recently that wasn’t cold at all, and quite delicious.

First, a clarification and a story: The type of ice cream cone I’m talking about is the frozen version with a layer of chocolate inside the cone. I’ve eaten these on occasion my entire life, and my favorite part is the tip of the cone where a solid chunk of chocolate settles.

Flashforward to a few months ago when an Instagram ad appeared on my feed for something called Muddy Bites. Apparently I’m not alone in liking the chocolate-filled tip of the cone, because that’s exactly what this company makes. No longer do I need to eat a wad of ice cream to get to the best part–in fact, I can eat multiple pieces of the best part.

Of course, I bought a pack of these treats, and I just finished the last one today. They were quite good, and if you like what I’ve described above, I’d highly recommend them. The only downside is that they’re a bit pricey, especially with shipping factored in, so it’s better if you can find them at your grocery store.

Have you tried Muddy Bites? What’s your favorite part of an ice cream cone, if not the chocolatey tip?
