My 3 Favorite SNL Sketches of the Week (Jason Sudeikis)

Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) is one of my all-time favorite comedians on Saturday Night Live, so I was excited to see him return to 30 Rock as the host this past weekend. Overall, I thought the entire episode was excellent, and I had a hard time narrowing it down to my top 3.

Declaration Pitch

The United States Declaration of Independence is pretty cool. But this sketch reveals that the founding fathers came really close to making it even cooler:

This is an overly masculine version of the daytime talk show, Ellen. It’s both a clever parody of the Ellen show and of masculinity.

What Up With That

This is one of my all-time favorite recurring sketches: A talk show host who is distracted from his very real celebrity guests by wordplay and music. I’m glad they brought it back for Sudeikis’ visit.

What was your favorite sketch of the week (or of the season so far)?

  1. I can’t watch the videos because they are geoblocked in Australia, and I can’t turn on my VPN right now, but I just hope that they finally got around to talking to Lindsey this week on WUWT.
