Have You Watched “Wrath of Man”? (My Thoughts)

I must admit I went into Wrath of Man with very low expectations. Megan’s a fan of Jason Statham, and he usually makes solid action movies, so I was happy to watch the film on movie night via Paramount Plus.

I spent the next two hours on the edge of my seat. Wrath of Man is one of the best movies I’ve watched this year. It’s directed with clarity and confidence by Guy Ritchie (including several long shots), it features layers of mysteries and intense action, and it includes multiple heists.

I’m not going to spoil anything here, as I’m really glad I knew absolutely nothing about Wrath of Man going into it. I think the first scene is enough for you to know if the film is for you: It’s a long shot from the inside of a cash truck, and the drive doesn’t go as planned.

My favorite part of the movie is a spoiler, so I won’t go into it here. The film is just such a great puzzle box, with every scene asking some questions and answering others. I was constantly curious, yet whenever the director was ready to reveal something, to answer was shown with perfect clarity (I think I’ve been a tiny bit jaded by movies that gloss over certain very important details and where you can’t picture the positions of all the players in an action scene).

I highly recommend Wrath of Man, and I’m curious to hear you’re thoughts in the comments below if you check it out.

  1. My wife is a huge fan as well. Must be something about him, I guess. 😉 Haven’t seen it, but I’m sure we’ll be checking it out sooner rather than later.

I’m curious; we try and only have 3 streaming services on the go at any one time, and switch between them as needed on the 1st of the month. Do you have yearly subscriptions to most of the ones you mention, or do you start them up for a month when something strikes your fancy? If you don’t mind answering, of course.

    • I think you have a better streaming system than we do. We currently (and pretty much consistently) now have 7 streaming services. The range of options at any given time for shows and movies is nice, but a more responsible approach would be your rotating system.
