Have You Watched “Everything Everywhere All at Once”? (My Thoughts)

Everything Everywhere All at Once is the best movie I’ve seen in 2022, and it’s going to be tough to beat it.

This is a spectacularly entertaining film on every level: worldbuilding, action, heart, and comedy. It reminded me a bit of The Matrix, except it has an oddball sense of humor and incredibly deep emotional moments.

My mask was soaked with tears throughout the final 30 minutes (even among genuine bursts of laughter), and it has one of the best speeches by a character that I’ve ever seen on film. I’ll be thinking about that speech for weeks, along with the rest of the movie.

I’d highly recommend seeing Everything Everywhere All at Once without knowing anything else about it.

However, if you’re still on the fence, here’s a little more information from Google:

“When an interdimensional rupture unravels reality, an unlikely hero must channel her newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers from the multiverse as the fate of the world hangs in the balance.”

If you’ve seen the movie, feel free to speak openly about it in the comments. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

  1. I saw it last night, and it blew my mind. It reminded me of watching The Matrix 23 years ago. The action was great (especially with the fanny pack), but I particularly loved the rock scene.
