According to my list, I watched 80 new-to-me movies in 2022, most on streaming, but a few more in theaters than last year (we’ve gotten pretty good at masking and eating popcorn at the same time).
Some honorable mentions include: No Time to Die, Sonic the Hedgehog, King Richard, Marry Me, The Worst Person in the World, and Meru
In no particular order, my top 6-10 are as follows:
- Encanto
- CODA
- Avatar 2
- Knives Out 2
- Spirited
Also in no particular order, my top 1-5 are as follows:
- Everything Everywhere All at Once
- Top Gun: Maverick
- Wrath of Man
- The Rescue
- Prey
What were some of your favorite movies that you watched for the first time in 2022? Which move do you think you’re most likely to rewatch first?
