3 Brilliant Episodes of 2 Underwatched Comedic Shows

I really enjoy The Other Two and I Think You Should Leave, and rather than recommending the entire series for both today–though, I do recommend it–today I thought I’d recommend 3 specific episodes that stand on their own in case you have limited viewing time. Both are from the third seasons of these shows.

Let’s start with I Think You Should Leave, which is an oddball short-sketch comedy on Netflix. Some sketches are hit-or-miss, but Episode 3 of Season 3 was hilarious (to me) from start to finish.

I don’t want to give anything away, but here’s how Rotten Tomatoes sums up the sketches from that episode: “A silent performer builds a hostile fan base; first date jitters; a doctor monitors a patient’s heart; paying it forward; catharsis at an office party.”

The other two episodes are found in Episode 3 of Season 3 of The Other Two. It’s a show about becoming famous (or trying to become famous), mostly in the TV/film industry.

There are two somewhat “experimental” episodes, and both are true standouts to me. The first is episode 3, in which Brooke has left the industry, only to find that people in the industry can no longer see her. The second is episode 4, which focuses on Cary’s new acting gig on a show called Emily Overruled. Every seen of the show is in greyscale until Cary starts introducing some modern methods into the set (ala the movie Pleasantville).

Let me know what you think if you check out those episodes! Is there any show you really enjoy that has a particularly memorable episode you would recommend to someone even if they don’t watch the entire series?
