Have You Watched Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2? (My Thoughts)

I love getting excited about and sharing new shows when I discover them for the first time, but I’m also trying to share some particularly great second seasons of shows, as it’s never too late to jump in.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is one such show. Every episode is just so good, even for someone like me who hasn’t ever gotten into any Star Trek show. Even a musical episode didn’t let me down (I was impressed by how the music was organically intertwined into the plot–it was a bit of a stretch, but the writers still made it plausible, and it helped that there was minimal dancing).

While each episode stands on its own, I also enjoyed some subplots and drama that ran throughout the season, including some romance. There’s also a great crossover episode with another Star Trek show (Lower Decks), which competes for funniest episode with an episode in which Spock is briefly 100% human (instead of 50%). These join some truly tense, scary episodes and a delightful time travel episode.

I don’t want to say much more, so I’ll end by simply saying if you’re looking for a great sci-fi show, it’s on TV right now (Paramount Plus). I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve watched both seasons.
