Dueling Chefs Restaurant Concept

Random idea for today: You go to a restaurant with not one, but two tasting menus across several courses, each created and served by a different chef. You vote on your favorite of the two courses, and at the end of the night, one of the chefs is declared the “winner” (purely for pride).

The restaurant would effectively have two kitchens, with two chefs sharing the ownership. However, if they ever wanted to take a break for a month, they could invite a guest chef to take their place for the month.

This is kind of along the lines of Top Chef’s restaurant wars, except that each chef’s course is served roughly at the same time as the other chef’s first course (instead of a full meal, then another full meal).

I think I would enjoy the novelty of this concept from time to time as long as the portion sizes were small–otherwise it would be way too much food. What do you think?
