Timothée Chalamet was the guest host (and musician) on Saturday Night Live this weekend, and the writers seemed to have a lot of fun with him, resulted in a great lineup of sketches (including a funny take on workout classes).
The highlight sketch for me was a “commercial” that is just as funny as it is clever. I could actually see this working.
The sketch begins with the fact that men in the 25-45 year age group are less likely to seek medical advice at doctor appointments and more likely to refer to social media. The premise of the sketch is a medical facility where the doctor’s office is designed to feel like a podcast studio.
It’s a silly concept…but this could work. As shown in the sketch, the patient is treated a bit like a celebrity, and I could honestly see some people opening up better in this environment where it feels like everyone is just hanging out and vibing.
What do you think? Even if it’s too outlandish, I hope you enjoy the sketch–I thought it was excellent.
