For April Fools 2025, we participated in our own version of Is It Cake?
A local bakery, The Cup, has an amazing yearly tradition when they make a cupcake that looks like an entirely different type of food. Somehow, despite loving their cupcakes and April Fools, I’ve consistently forgotten to preorder these special treats.
But this year was different! When I saw the announcement on Instagram, I placed the order right away, and we picked it up just in time for April Fools.
Sometimes visual food trickery doesn’t result in good flavor, but The Cup knows what they’re doing. The “marble rye” was delicious, inside and out. I’m already looking forward to next year!
