What Do You Think About Andor Season 2? (My Thoughts)

Andor season 2 is doing something I can’t recall every seeing from a TV show. It’s a big, bold move, and I’m loving it.

Like season 1, Andor is a slow-burn show set in the Star Wars universe (but isn’t at all about the Skywalker saga) There are multiple episodes where nothing momentous happens, yet there’s still so much tension and intrigue. Then something huge will happen–or multiple huge things, edited together to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Disney could have presented these episodes once a week, all at once, or even as movies. Instead, they made what I believe is the absolute best choice: The episodes are released in sets of three, one set per week for four weeks, with time jumps between each set. The trend so far seems to be that each set includes 2 slow-burn episode followed by 1 climactic episode.

It’s a brilliant format. It’s like we get a new Star Wars movie every week for 4 weeks…yet we can watch them in smaller chunks if that’s better for our schedule. And at the end of it, Andor will be complete–this is the final season.

I don’t think this format would work for most shows, but I love it for Andor. What do you think?
