While in Norway recently, we were constantly on the lookout for unique chocolate. One thing I noticed in both Norway and London is that milk chocolate is far more common than dark chocolate.
In addition to some new textures and flavors, we found one chocolate bar that looked almost identical to a KitKat, which you can find in any grocery store or gas station in the US. Someone told us that Kvikk Lunsj is better than KitKat, so we had to find out for ourselves.
So we did a taste test comparing the two. It wasn’t blind, but we were completely open to either bar being better. In fact, perhaps we were rooting for KitKat since Kvikk Lunsj is very expensive to buy in the US.
Overall, I would gladly eat either. They both offer nearly the exact same mix of chocolate and wafer. But if I had the choice between the two, I would choose a Kvikk Lunjs. Its chocolate is more creamy than a KitKat.
What do you think? Have you done a similar taste test between treats?

I haven’t done a taste test like this, but was excited to try some different chocolates when we visited a candy store in Santa Claus Indiana, only to be met with disappointment when the only candy they had was the stock standard American candy bars. I bought the Dove bar of shame and left.
Ah, that’s too bad. I guess it’s tough to create quality custom candy from scratch.
I can’t help but read this as the Norse version of “Quick Lunch”. I’m curious what it actually translates to in English.
Quick Lunch is correct! 🙂
