A few days ago I mentioned that The Fantastic Four: First Steps had instantly jumped to join my favorite superhero movies. Someone asked me what my other favorites were, and I found it surprisingly difficult to narrow it down even to just a top 10: Whether it’s Marvel, DC, or beyond, there are a lot of great options.
Very Honorable Mentions: Wonder Woman, Captain America: The First Avenger, Deadpool, X-Men 2
There are three fairly distinct tiers in my top 10 that I discovered while compiling it. In the third tier (A):
10. Black Panther
9. Into the Spider-Verse
8. Spider-Man: No Way Home
7. The Dark Knight
Here are my second-tier picks (A+):
6. Guardians of the Galaxy 1
5. The Fantastic Four: First Steps
4. Thor Ragnarok
3. Iron Man
And last, the two I had the most difficult time deciding between (S-tier). Both of these are relentlessly entertaining, visually beautiful movies that I can watch over and over again.
2. Infinity War Part 1
1. The Incredibles
I’d love to hear your top 3, top 5, or top 10! It’s certainly possible that I’m missing some superhero movies outside of the Marvel/DC pantheon.
